In a city known for bold design, creative energy, and wellness innovation, Libre Aerial Fitness is changing how Miami moves. Opened in July 2024 by designer and founder Stephanie Tisch, Libre is Miami's first aerial fitness studio of its kind—a space intentionally designed to blend physical practice with creative expression and community connection.
After nearly two decades leading brand design programs for clients like the 1 Hotel & Homes and New World Symphony, Stephanie brought her artistic lens to a new challenge. "I was frustrated by the lack of thoughtfully designed fitness spaces in Miami," she explains. "The rigid routine of a traditional gym never appealed to me. Libre was built to be a creative platform where the world’s best artists could share their work."
Designed in collaboration with acclaimed architecture firm Landowska Studio, Libre’s space features warm white walls, sun-washed wood tones, and luxe, organic textures that reflect nature’s quiet power. It's an immersive environment crafted to uplift and inspire, with every detail designed to support movement, mindfulness, and wellbeing.

Beyond the Mat: Aerial Yoga
Aerial at Libre is less about performance and more about presence. Using suspended hammocks, the practice supports strength-building flows, gentle inversions, and creative transitions that encourage self-trust and discovery.
“Even beginners surprise themselves,” says Stephanie. “It’s a practice that invites curiosity. You feel supported—literally and emotionally.”Classes range from foundational sequences to choreographed flows and infrared mat-based yoga. Every class encourages intuitive movement and playfulness, helping students tune into their bodies while staying rooted in community.
"We consciously moved away from rigid routine to create a more joyful and personal experience," Stephanie explains. "Aerial is naturally photogenic, and we embrace that. We want members to feel proud of their progress." Students are even encouraged to capture their growth—personal photography is welcomed as part of the journey.

Designed for Connection
Libre is a space where people come to move, but stay to connect.
“One person tries a class, and by the next week, they’ve brought friends. It becomes part of their week, part of their lives,” says Stephanie. The studio has quickly become a hub for what Stephanie calls "social wellness": skipping happy hour for breathwork, aerial flow, and shared presence.
Everything at Libre is designed with that experience in mind, from how the hammocks are placed for unobstructed sightlines to the inviting, photography-friendly backdrop. The vibe? Equal parts ease and elevation.

The Meaning Behind 'Libre'
Libre means "free" in Spanish—and it’s more than a name. It’s the studio’s ethos.
"Libre is about liberation—from judgment, from routine, from perfection," says Stephanie. "It’s a return to what matters most: moving well, feeling whole, and being in community."

Tools That Support the Practice
Crafting a space like Libre required equally intentional tools. Manduka’s PRO yoga mats and foam blocks were chosen for their durability, clean lines, and performance, supporting the studio’s high standards without compromising on aesthetic.
Built to last and designed for versatility, these essentials reflect Libre’s ethos that every detail matters.
