Travel-Ready Design

Made for on-the-move movers, the eKO Travel Superlite delivers exceptional comfort and support for a harmonious practice anywhere.

Mindfully Made

Sustainably harvested and constructed of natural, non-Amazon tree rubber, the eKO Travel Superlite delivers an eKO-friendly flow wherever you go.

All eKO Series yoga mats have a closed-cell surface, which will never absorb moisture. Because of this, if you are warm/sweaty at all, the yoga mat will feel slippery, so we always recommend pairing it with one of our hand towels to absorb moisture and provide extra traction or to apply our Yoga Grip Gel during your practice. If you're practicing hot yoga, we recommend a mat towel for full mat coverage. For towel guidance read our Guide to Yoga Towels and check out this blog post for more tips to decrease slip and increase grip.

The marbled, striped and dip colors are hand-processed and have unique patterns. We can't guarantee the yoga mat will match the image exactly. Store the yoga mat rolled together when not used for traveling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the Manduka eKO Travel Superlite yoga mat be folded into a suitcase?

Yes. The Manduka eKO Travel Superlite is specifically designed to fold easily for travel. The standard mat measures 180cm x 61cm and weighs approximately 1kg, making it convenient to pack inside most suitcases or travel bags. After travelling, it can be rolled for regular storage to help preserve its shape and natural rubber surface.

Is the Manduka eKO Travel Superlite a good yoga mat for travel?

Yes. The Manduka eKO Travel Superlite is an ultra-lightweight, foldable travel yoga mat designed for practising wherever you go. At just 1.5mm thick and approximately 1kg in weight, it folds compactly into a suitcase, backpack or carry-on without taking up the space of a traditional rolled yoga mat. Its natural rubber construction also provides a more stable and grippy practice surface than practising directly on a hotel or studio floor.

Does the Manduka eKO Travel Superlite travel mat provide good grip?

The textured natural rubber surface of the Manduka eKO Travel Superlite provides reliable dry grip and a responsive, semi-sticky feel for controlled transitions and balance. However, because its closed-cell surface does not absorb moisture, it may feel slippery during very sweaty or heated practices. For hot yoga or heavy perspiration, pair it with a yogitoes or Equa yoga towel for additional traction.

What is the eKO Travel Superlite yoga mat made from?

The eKO Travel Superlite is made from sustainably harvested, non-Amazon natural tree rubber. Its single-layer, closed-cell construction does not absorb moisture, making the surface easier to clean and helping maintain hygienic performance while travelling. The mat is 99% latex-free, but it is not recommended for people with latex sensitivities.

Which eKO mat is right for me?

Each mat in the eKO Series is made from natural rubber and delivers the responsive feel, dependable dry grip, and tactile connection the collection is known for. The right choice depends on where and how you practice. The eKO Mat offers the most cushion in the collection, making it a great choice for practitioners who prefer additional comfort and support for everyday yoga practice. The eKO Lite provides the same responsive practice experience in a slimmer profile, making it a versatile option for practitioners who want a balance of cushioning and portability. Its lighter weight makes it easy to carry between home and the studio. The eKO Travel Superlite Mat is the lightest and most packable option in the collection. Designed to fold for travel, it's easy to take on the go while still providing the natural rubber feel the eKO Series is known for. Whether you prioritize additional cushion, everyday versatility, or foldability, every eKO mat is thoughtfully designed to support your practice.

Is it normal for my eKO Series mat to change over time?

Yes. Because the eKO Series is made from natural rubber, subtle changes in appearance are a natural part of the material over time. You may notice variations in color, a natural rubber scent, white spots, light oxidation, or minor surface wear with regular use. Like leather, cork, and other natural materials, natural rubber develops character with use and exposure to its environment. These cosmetic changes are expected and, when your mat is properly cared for, do not affect its performance. For complete care instructions and best practices, refer to the Use & Care Guide.

What does the eKO Series' closed-cell surface mean?

Think of the difference between water on glass and water on a sponge. One keeps moisture on the surface. The other absorbs it below the surface. The eKO Series features a closed-cell surface, which helps keep moisture on the surface rather than allowing it to be absorbed into the mat. This makes the mat easy to clean after practice while supporting consistent performance over time. Because the eKO Series is made from natural rubber, regular care and avoiding prolonged sun exposure will help preserve its appearance and performance.

How should I care for my eKO Series mat?

Because the eKO Series is made from natural rubber, regular care helps preserve its appearance and performance over time. After each practice, wipe the surface with Manduka's Natural Rubber Yoga Mat Restore or a clean, damp cloth, then allow it to air dry completely before rolling or storing. Like many natural rubber products, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can dry the material over time, affecting its appearance and performance. Store your mat in a cool, dry place when not in use. For complete care instructions, refer to the Use & Care Guide. With a few simple care habits, you can help keep your mat performing at its best.
