Use & Care

To Store: Roll Manduka PROlite mats with the top facing outwards. This keeps the corners of the mat flat when practicing. Store in a cool, dry place.

The best way to break in your PROlite mat is simple: practice, practice, practice. Because the PRO’s closed cell surface does not absorb moisture, the mat may feel slick if you’re prone to sweat. We recommend pairing it with an eQua® or yogitoes® hand towel for grip, or using an eQua® or yogitoes® Hot Yoga Mat Towel for heated practices.

To Clean: To keep your mat clean and smelling fresh, use our Yoga Mat Wash & Refresh or warm water. Other cleaning solutions are not tested or recommended. Spray the entire surface of the mat, then use a clean cloth to wipe it dry before rolling or using.

All PRO Series yoga mats have a closed-cell surface, which will never absorb moisture. Because of this, if you are warm/sweaty at all, the mat will feel slippery, so we always recommend pairing it with one of our hand towels to absorb moisture and provide extra traction or to apply our Yoga Grip Gel during your practice. At 4.7mm thick, the PROlite® offers firm cushioning, floor-like stability, and comfortable joint support, while being easier to carry to and from the studio. It’s also slightly thinner and narrower than the original PRO®, making it ideal for smaller spaces, tighter class settings, and yogis who want a high-performance mat with less weight.

If you prefer maximum cushioning and a more substantial feel for home practice, the 6mm PRO® Yoga Mat may be the better choice.

How do I clean and care for my PROlite® Yoga Mat?

To clean your PROlite® mat, spray the surface with our Yoga Mat Wash & Refresh or use warm water, then wipe it dry with a clean cloth before rolling or using it. We don’t recommend other cleaning solutions. For storage, roll your mat with the top side facing out and keep it in a cool, dry place.
